Pfizer seeks approval for its Covid vaccine in India

After getting approval for emergency use against Covid-19 in the UK, pharmaceutical firm Pfizer is now seeking approval for its emergency use in India. It has become the first company to seek emergency authorisation in the country. According to sources, Pfizer India has submitted an application to the DCGI to grant Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) for its COVID-19 vaccine in India. The company has also sought permission to import the vaccine for sale and distribution in India.
