The Central Bureau of Investigation has registered a bank fraud case against Ramesh Chandra, the founder of real estate company Unitech Limited and his two sons Sanjay and Ajay Chandra. All three are accused of cheating Canara Bank for Rs 198 crore. The bank, in its complaint filed last month, said that Unitech has been its customer since 1971 and has taken loans several times in the meantime, but recently it defaulted by not repaying loans on time.

केंद्रीय जांच ब्यूरो ने रियल एस्टेट कंपनी यूनिटेक लिमिटेड के संस्थापक रमेश चंद्रा और उनके दो बेटों संजय और अजय चंद्रा के खिलाफ बैंक धोखाधड़ी का केस दर्ज किया है. इन तीनों पर केनरा बैंक से 198 करोड़ रुपये की धोखाधड़ी करने का आरोप है. बैंक ने पिछले माह दायर अपनी शिकायत में कहा था कि यूनिटेक 1971 से ही उसक ग्राहक है और इस दौरान कई बार उसने कर्ज लिया है, लेकिन हाल ही में उसने कई बार समय पर कर्ज नहीं चुकाकर डिफॉल्ट किया.
