The ruling Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) has emerged as the single-largest party in the Hyderabad civic polls, winning 55 seats, followed by the BJP which has made significant electoral inroads, winning 48 seats. At 44 seats, the AIMIM trailed the saffron party, but performed well in its traditional bastion of the old city of Hyderabad. Meanwhile, the Congress, which has been pushed to the sidelines, has only two divisions to its credit.

ग्रेटर हैदराबाद नगर निगम (जीएचएमसी) चुनाव में कांग्रेस का प्रदर्शन बहुत ही खराब रहा है। ग्रेटर हैदराबाद नगर निगम चुनाव में कांग्रेस को सिर्फ 2 सीटों पर जीत मिली है। पार्टी को मिली करारी हार के बाद तेलंगाना प्रदेश कांग्रेस कमेटी के अध्यक्ष पद से एन उत्तम कुमार रेड्डी ने इस्तीफा दे दिया है। हालांकि इस्तीफे की वजह नहीं बताई गई है।
