Biden Joins Former Presidents
in Pledge to Publicly Receive
COVID-19 Vaccine .
Earlier this week, former Presidents
Barack Obama, George W. Bush and Bill Clinton
said they would all be willing to publicly receive
coronavirus vaccinations once it is confirmed to be safe. .
The pledge is being made in hopes of building
public confidence concerning the safety of the vaccine.
In a wide-ranging interview with CNN,
President-elect Joe Biden spoke about
the expected COVID-19 vaccine. .
CNN’s Jake Tapper asked him if he would join his
predecessors in pledging to get publicly vaccinated.
Biden said he’d be “happy to do that” as soon
as Dr. Anthony Fauci says the vaccine is “safe.”.
I’d be happy to do that … When Dr. Fauci
says we have a vaccine that is safe, that's
the moment in which I will stand before
the public and say that, Joe Biden, to CNN.
Biden acknowledged the skepticism
surrounding the vaccine, saying his predecessors
have set a “model” for “what should be done.” .
People have lost faith in the vaccine’s ability
to work … I think that my three predecessors
have set the model as to what should be
done, saying ‘once it’s declared to be safe ...
then obviously, we take it, Joe Biden, to CNN
