At Chak Khere Wala Village near Jalalabad, 84-year-old Didar Singh Gill switched the channels on his TV set. On one channel, he was watching his grandson Shubman Gill playing for the country in Australia. At the same time, he wanted to know what was happening at the Singhu border between Delhi and Haryana, where some of his family members were part of the protest against the government's new agriculture policy.

उत्तर भारत में किसान आंदोलन अपने चरम पर है। कृषि कानूनों के खिलाफ सड़कों पर उतरे किसानों का आंदोलन लगातार आठवें दिन जारी है। इस आंदोलन की आग लगातार फैलती जा रही है। विरोध में किसानों ने कई सड़कों को जाम कर दिया है। कई बॉर्डर अभी भी बंद हैं। इस बीच ऑस्ट्रेलिया में टीम इंडिया का हिस्सा क्रिकेटर शुभमन गिल का परिवार भी सड़कों पर उतर आया है।क्रिकेटर गिल के परिवार के कुछ सदस्य सिंघु बॉर्डर भी पहुंचे है। ऑस्ट्रेलिया के खिलाफ तीसरे और अंतिम वन-डे में शिखर धवन के साथ पारी का आगाज करते हुए 33 रन बनाने वाले गिल के दादा ने मीडिया से बात की।
