To encourage people to take the RT-PCR test, several state governments included Rajasthan, Delhi, Gujarat and Bihar, ordered private laboratories to reduce price of RT-PCR test that is used to detect Covid-19. Even as per the latest notification of Uttar Pradesh government, an RT-PCR test for Covid-19 will now cost Rs 700 in the state. Aajtak did a reality check of renowned private labs and hospitals of various states, and found yet to set price cap for Corona test, private hospitals and labs are looting the patients.
