EU 협상대표 "영국과 무역합의 가능할지 아직 불확실"

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson says the U.K. is still committed to Brexit and getting it done quickly.
However, the EU's top negotiator is now calling for patience over negotiations on a trade deal with the U.K.
Lee Seung-jae reports.
Despite the long-delayed Brexit Deal,... British Prime Minister Boris Johnson on Wednesday says the country remains committed to getting it done.
"On Brexit, and where we are with the negotiations, well you know, we are working, we remain absolutely committed to trying to get a deal if we can. I think our friends know what the UK bottom line is and what people voted for in, on June 23rd 2016. They voted to take back control."
Johnson said Brexit is about ensuring the U.K. is able to make its own laws.
His comments came as the EU's chief Brexit negotiator Michel Barnier called for patience,... telling member states on Wednesday that negotiations on a trade deal were reaching a "make-or-break moment".
Four diplomats told Reuters that the talks remain deadlocked,... as they have been for months,... on deals like fishing rights in British waters.
However,... some EU member nations have also been warning Barnier that too much ground was being ceded to the U.K.,... insisting it would be better to allow negotiations to drag on,... rather than give in to a quick deal.
Both the U.K. and the EU say they want a deal,... but have so far failed to bridge their differences.
