Iran vows revenge as it holds funeral for assassinated nuclear scientist Mohsen Fakhrinzadeh

The body of Iran's top nuclear scientist Dr Mohsen Fakhrizadeh was laid to rest outside the Imamzadeh Saleh mosque in Tehran on November 30, 2020, days after he was gunned down in his car. Tehran has blamed Israel for the killing of the 59-year-old scientist, believed to have been in charge of Iran’s secret nuclear weapons programme. The assassination has boosted tensions in the Middle East as Iranian leaders vowed to take revenge for the death of the prominent researcher.
