A DELEGATION OF CIVIL SERVANTS LAUDED PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS MAINTAINED BY SSU COMMANDOS
A delegation of Civil Servants led by Additional Commissioner Karachi II Dr. Waqas Roshan appreciated the existing professional standards of SSU and measures being adopted to further improve capabilities of SSU commandos aimed at to fight terrorism and ensure foolproof security.
The delegation comprised Director General Parks Karachi Taha Saleem, Asst. Commissioner Baldia Abdul Hanan Bhutto, Asst. Commissioner Orangi Syed Jahangir Ali, Asst. Commissioner Shah Faisal Noor Leghari, Asst. Commissioner H.Q Karachi Syeda Jasiah Fatima, Asst. Commissioner Murad Memon Farooq Soomro, Asst. Commissioner Revenue Kanwal Bhutto, PS to Commissioner Karachi Ahmer Pasha and Deputy Secretary Akram Bhutto.
Commandant SSU SSP Farrukh Ali briefed about the functioning of various sections of SSU and informed about the measures adopted to setup country’s first Special Weapons and Tactics (S.W.A.T) team. He also briefed about advance professional training being provided to commandos and issuance of ISO certificate by United Kingdom Accreditation System (UKAS) Britain on maintaining international standard in the field of Performing Counter Terrorism Operations and Provision of Foolproof Security Services to Vital Installations, National and Foreign Dignitaries.
DIG Security and Emergency Services Division Maqsood Ahmed met with the delegation and further informed that we are focusing to give maximum attention to provide all possible professional training to our commandos from various specialized training units of Pakistan Army, Navy and Airforce to meet the modern challenges particularly in counter terrorism and security aspects.
DIG Security also briefed the delegation about the improved operational capabilities of Madadgar-15 highlighting the response time of Madadgar-15 which dropped from 30 minutes to 7-8 minutes.
Later, DIG Maqsood Ahmed presented honorary shield to Additional Commissioner Karachi Dr. Waqas Roshan and souvenirs to the participants.
