A day-long strike has been called today by a joint platform of ten central trade unions to protest against various govt policies. Trade unions anticipate that around 25 crore workers will participate in a nationwide strike. The Uttar Pradesh government, meanwhile, has extended the Essential Services Maintenance Act, banning strikes in all departments and corporations under it for a period of another six months.

देश के अलग-अलग हिस्सों में आज विरोध प्रदर्शन किए जा रहे हैं. एक ओर किसान केंद्र द्वारा लाए गए कृषि कानूनों को लेकर सड़कों पर हैं, तो दूसरी ओर ट्रेड यूनियन ने लेबर लॉ के खिलाफ हल्ला बोल किया हुआ है. पश्चिम बंगाल के कई इलाकों में लेफ्ट यूनियनों ने हाइवे से लेकर रेलवे ट्रैक को जाम कर दिया है. मानसून सत्र में लोकसभा ने तीन लेबर कोड को पास किया था। इसमें सरकार ने ईज ऑफ डूइंग बिजनस के नाम पर 27 अधिनियमों को खारिज कर दिया ।
