New Zealand’s Greg Barclay elected as the new independent chairman of the ICC | वनइंडिया हिंदी

New Zealand's Greg Barclay was elected as the new independent chairman of the ICC after a second round of voting. He succeeds India's Shashank Manohar who stepped down earlier this year. Barclay, an Auckland-based commercial lawyer, has been a director of NZC since 2012 and is currently NZC’s representative on the board of the International Cricket Council.

अंतरराष्ट्रीय क्रिकेट परिषद के नए चेयरमैन के नाम का एलान कर दिया गया है। आइसीसी के नए चेयरमैन पद की जिम्मेदारी अब न्यूजीलैंड क्रिकेट के प्रमुख ग्रेग बार्कले को सौंपी गई है। आइसीसी के पूर्व चेयरमैन शशांक मनोहर के कार्यकाल की अवधि इस साल जुलाई में खत्म हो गई थी जिसके बाद इमराज ख्वाजा को आइसीसी का अंतरिम अध्यक्ष बनाया गया था। अब उनकी जगह ग्रेग बार्कले को ये जिम्मेदारी सौंप दी गई है। ग्रेग वर्ष 2012 से न्यूजीलैंड क्रिकेट के डायरेक्टर हैं और पेशे से वकील भी हैं।
