The Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh has taken a major action in the case of deaths due to poisonous liquor in Lucknow and Firozabad in the past. The Police Commissioner of Lucknow Sujit Pandey was removed. In his place, ATS ADG DK Thakur has been made the Police Commissioner of Lucknow. Apart from this, three more senior IPS officers have been transferred. It is believed that the government has taken this decision after the death of 6 people after drinking poisonous liquor before Diwali.

उत्तर प्रदेश की योगी सरकार ने बीते दिनों लखनऊ और फिरोजाबाद में जहरीली शराब से हुई मौत के मामले में एक बड़ी कार्रवाई की है.खनऊ के पुलिस कमिश्‍नर सुजीत पांडेय को हटा दिया. उनकी जगह एटीएस के एडीजी डीके ठाकुर को लखनऊ का पुलिस कमिश्‍नर बनाया गया है। इसके अलावा तीन और सीनियर आईपीएस अधिकारियों के तबादले किए गए हैं। माना जा रहा है कि दिवाली से पहले ज‍हरीली शराब पीने से हुई 6 लोगों की मौत के बाद शासन ने यह फैसला लिया है
