President Moon to take part in APEC, G20 virtual summits this week

President Moon will continue with his multilateral summit diplomacy this week taking part in the APEC Summit on Friday... and the G20 Summit over the weekend.
The top office expects the summits to serve as important opportunities for the global community to cooperate and overcome the COVID-19 pandemic.

President Moon Jae-in will take part in the upcoming Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation Summit on Friday where its member states will discuss COVID-19 response measures.
There, President Moon will share South Korea's knowhow in tackling the coronavirus.
President Moon plans to share South Korea's experience in fighting the COVID-19 pandemic and introduce its contributions to the international community, such as providing humanitarian assistance and efforts toward vaccine and treatment development.
APEC is a regional economic forum established in 1989...aimed at fostering sustainable economic growth in the Asia-Pacific region.
The 21 members, including the U.S. and China, make up roughly 60 percent of the global economy.
And on Saturday and Sunday,... President Moon will participate in the G20 leaders' summit where members will share their ideas on how to step up capacity against infectious diseases and create sustainable policies for the post-COVID-19 era.
Moon will introduce South Korea's New Deal initiative,... as well as propose that the G20 play a leading role in responding to the coronavirus as well as climate change.
The top office expects the summit to be an opportunity to reaffirm that the world's 20 largest economies that account for 80 percent of the global GDP will be at the forefront in reviving the economy based on unity and cooperation.
