Seoul city issues first ultrafine dust advisory this winter

The first ultrafine dust advisory of the season was issued for Seoul on Monday.
According to the National Institute of Environmental Research, an inflow of fine dust from China due to factories restarting operations ...and increased heating due to the cold weather has caused the air quality in the western part of South Korea to worsen.
Advisories had previously been issued for parts of Gyeonggi-do Province, Incheon, Chungcheongnam-do Province and Jeollabuk-do Province.
When going outside, people in the capital are advised to wear face masks rated KF 80 or above.
People with respiratory issues, children and the elderly should try to avoid going outdoors.
