Delhi-NCR air quality turns severe after Diwali
  • 3 years ago
The air quality in Delhi-NCR turned ‘severe’ in several areas on Sunday, just a day after Diwali was celebrated across the country. The air quality started deteriorating in Delhi-NCR from Saturday night as people defied the ban on bursting firecrackers.

A thick layer of haze was seen across the national capital and surrounding regions on Sunday morning as emissions from firecrackers have worsened the air quality, which has already deteriorated due to increased stubble burning activities.
