November 15, 1989: A teenager from Mumbai forever changed world cricket. When Sachin Tendulkar took guard to face up to the likes of Wasim Akram, Waqar Younis and Imran Khan, there were murmurs of the incredible talent the 16-year-old Indian batsman possessed. He was out for 15 in the first innings on his Test debut and did not even get to bat in the second as India drew the Karachi Test against Pakistan. Days later, in Faisalabad Tendulkar showed why Sunil Gavaskar and the rest of the Mumbai cricket fraternity thought so highly of him.

15 नवम्बर क्रिकेट जगत के बेहद ही ख़ास दिन है. इस दिन एक ऐसे खिलाड़ी ने इंटरनेशनल क्रिकेट में पहली बार कदम रखा था. जिन्होंने क्रिकेट की दुनिया में क्रान्ति ला दी. उस खिलाड़ी की वजह से ही क्रिकेट में विज्ञापन आना शुरू हुआ और क्रिकेट को भी ख्याति मिली. क्रिकेट का रंगरूप उस खिलाड़ी ने आगे चलकर बदल दिया. फैन्स और मिडिया ने उन्हें नाम दिया ' गॉड ऑफ़ क्रिकेट'. जी हाँ, हम बात कर रहे हैं क्रिकेट के भगवान कहे जाने वाले सचिन तेंदुल्कर की. सचिन तेंदुलकर ने इसी दिन यानी कि 15 नवम्बर को अपना डेब्यू मैच पाकिस्तान के खिलाफ खेला था. खास बात ये है कि सचिन ने इसी दिन यानी 15 नंवबर को अपना आखिरी टेस्ट खेला. सचिन ने जब अपना डेब्यू किया तो वो भी अपने आप में एक इतिहास था, क्योंकि उस वक्त महज वो 16 साल के थे.
