U.S. President-elect Joe Biden has defeated President Donald Trump in Georgia, taking his total electoral votes to 306.
Georgia was once a reliably Republican state, but in recent years voters there have shifted to the left.
Biden's victory in Georgia means that he flipped five states Trump won back in 2016.
The other states were Arizona, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.
Despite the apparent victory, Trump is still convinced he will win reelection.
In his first interview in more than a week with the Washington Examiner on Friday, the incumbent president said he expects the race to turn in his favor in two or three weeks.
He predicted wins in Georgia and Wisconsin after recounts.
