Diwali seems to have arrived a few days early for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) today. Even as counting of votes is underway in Assembly by-elections in Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh and in 8 other states, the saffron party has managed to pull a magnificent lead in more than 40 seats across the states.

मध्यप्रदेश, उत्तर प्रदेश समेत 11 राज्यों की 58 विधानसभा सीटों पर हुए उपचुनाव के लिए मंगलवार को मतगणना हो रही है. मध्यप्रदेश में हुए 28 विधानसभा सीटों के लिए हुए उपचुनाव के लिए नतीजे भी आ रहे हैं। यहां बीजेपी को बढ़त जारी है, जो 17 सीटों पर जीत दर्ज कर चुकी है वहीं, कांग्रेस को चार सीटों पर जीत हासिल हुई है।
