In this interview, Aashiq Abu is director, producer, actor, and distributor, who works in Malayalam cinema.Aashiq Abu started as an ad filmmaker. He made his directional debut with Daddy Cool (2009). He is best known for his films Salt N' Pepper (2011), 22 Female Kottayam (2012), Idukki Gold (2013)Mayaanadhi (2017) and Virus (2019). Abu is known for his collaboration with screenwriters Syam Pushkaran and Dileesh Nair. His 2019 film Virus is well became talking point recently with film coinciding with latest Corona Virus Pandemic.Virus is Malayalam film based on Nipah virus outbreak in Kerala. The film was written by Muhsin Parari, Sharfu, and Suhas. It stars an ensemble cast that includes Kunchacko Boban, Asif Ali, Parvathy Thiruvothu, Tovino Thomas, Rahman, Indrajith Sukumaran, Indrans, Soubin Shahir, Sreenath Bhasi, Dileesh Pothan, Rima Kallingal, Madonna Sebastian, Ramya Nambeeshan, Joju George, and Revathi.
