The Supreme Court will hear an urgent plea on June 18 as doctors’ protest across the nation. The protests started after junior doctors were assaulted by relatives of a patient at NRS Medical College in Kolkata. AIIMS also joined the strike, affecting medical services to a great extent. The striking Bengal doctors have now called for urgent talks with the chief minister. However, there have been no official confirmation from Mamata Banerjee’s office.
