The Lok Sabha passed the much-awaited Surrogacy (Regulation) Bill, 2019 in Parliament. The Bill was introduced by Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare Dr Harsh Vardhan in the Lower House on July 15, allowing a woman to hand over the child after the birth to the intending couple.
