Another incident narrating the lapse of administration in providing mid-day meal to the students has come to light. Students are aimed to be provided ‘nutritious meal’ through mid-day meal. On contrary, students of a primary school in UP’s Mirzapur were seen eating roti with salt in mid-day meal. The negligent teacher has been suspended. Mirzapur District Magistrate (DM) Anurag Patel said, "The menu of mid-day meals is fixed for every day. Someday it is khichdi, someday daliya, roti sabzi, chawal. They are also given fruits and milk on some days. But these incidents happen due to the lapse of teachers and supervisory staff. The teacher has been suspended. Yes, you are right. The children are being served rotis and salt.”
