Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam, popularly known as APJ Abdul Kalam, was born on October 15 in Tamil Nadu’s Rameswaram. Kalam, who was famous as “Missile Man of India”, studied physics and aerospace engineering. Kalam was elected as the 11th President of India in 2002.
