Vaikuntha Chaturdashi is a Hindu celebration observed on Chaturdashi of the Hindu month of Karthik. People worship Lord Vishnu & Shiva on this day. Both Gods are worshipped individually or together in different temples in Varanasi, Rishikesh, Maharashtra & Gaya. The day holds great significance to Maharashtra as the customs for the observance were set by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj & his mother Jijabai. Vaikuntha Chaturdashi 2019 falls on November 11.
