Donald Trump: Post Coronavirus, US Economy Will Surge; Racing To Develop Anti-Viral Therapies

Global stock markets have sunk amid the coronavirus outbreak. This comes despite central banks around the world announcing a co-ordinated effort to try and ease the effects of the deadly virus. The Dow Jones index closed 12.9% down after President Donald Trump said the economy ‘may be’ heading towards recession. When asked about recession, Donald Trump, President, USA said, “It may be. Once we are done with coronavirus, you are going to see a tremendous surge.” Trump also said that a vaccine candidate has begun phase-1 clinical trial and they’re racing to develop anti-viral therapies and other treatments.
