Coronavirus: 28 Confirmed Cases In India, Says Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan

India recorded a steep rise in the cases of coronavirus on March 4. 15 Italian tourists who landed in Delhi last month and one Indian travelling with them tested positive for the deadly virus. They were a part of a group of 23 Italians who traveled to Rajasthan last month. One of them, presently in Jaipur, tested positive on Tuesday along with his wife. The number of people infected with coronavirus in India has now reached 28. On March 2, two fresh cases were reported in Delhi and Hyderabad. On March 4, PM Narendra Modi said that he would not participate in any holi events to reduce mass gatherings in order to avoid the spread of coronavirus. On March 3, PM Modi had tweeted that he had an extensive review regarding preparedness of COVID-19. The deadly virus has claimed more than 3000 lives globally and infected over 88000 people.
