Coronavirus In India: 30 States, Union Territories In Lockdown To Curb Covid-19; What All Is Shut?

Soon after the health ministry’s update on the lockdown, complete lockdowns were announced in 30 states, union territories and a total of 548 districts. Partial lockdown was announced have been announced in Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Odisha. Only two states, Mizoram and Sikkim are yet to take a call on the issue. After suspending international flights, train services, metro services, the centre imposed ban on domestic flights as well starting midnight on March 24. Curfew was imposed in Punjab and Maharashtra. The country's premier medical institute, Delhi's All India Institute of Medical Sciences, decided to shut down its OPD, including specialty services. A complete lockdown was announced in Delhi as well and section 144 was imposed. Two weeks ahead of schedule, the Lok Sabha was adjourned indefinitely in view of the coronavirus threat.
