G20 Leaders Hold Video Summit To Discuss Coronavirus Pandemic, PM Modi Asks For Concrete Action Plan

Leaders of the G20 countries i.e. 20 countries which account for the world’s 80% of GDP held a video conference summit to discuss an action plan to tackle the Coronavirus pandemic. Saudi Arabia, which is presiding over the G20 this year, opened the meeting with an urgent appeal to look into the research and development of a vaccine for the COVID-19 infection. PM Narendra Modi asked that organisations like the WHO be strengthened further to increase global co-ordination and institute emergency action plans.
