The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Madhya Pradesh has risen to 165 with 9 deaths being reported. Amid the rising numbers, Bhopal has become the second district in Madhya Pradesh to shut down all shops excluding those selling medicine and milk. The government has issued an order saying starting midnight on April 5, no one will be allowed on the streets, except police, medical personnel and government servants involved in emergency services. PM Narendra Modi while announcing lockdown in the country, excluded essential goods and services. But on March 31, Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s government declared a complete clampdown on Indore district.
