Associate Professor Maria Frahm-Arp has penned a thesis looking at the rise of Pentecostal cult-like churches in the fourth industrial revolution. Since around 2015 we've heard of pastors promising congregants all kinds of miracles. Eating grass, drinking petrol and being sprayed by pesticides are some of the things one had to agree to take part in.
