Work on critical border infrastructure such as roads and bridges has gone up by nearly 75 per cent across seven states and union territories sharing borders with China and Pakistan in the last two years, defence ministry data has showed. The work includes connecting roads and bridges at strategic locations in border towns of Ladakh, Jammu & Kashmir and Arunachal Pradesh, aimed at faster deployment of the military when required.

पाकिस्तान और चीन से एक साथ दोनों मोर्चों पर निपटने की सेना की तैयारी को सीमा सड़क संगठन मजबूती देने में जुटा है। भारत सीमा पर अपनी मजबूत स्थिति को बनाए रखने की कवायद में लगा हुआ है। दुर्गम इलाकों में कई सारे पुल का निर्माण करने, सड़क निर्माण में तेजी लाने से लेकर सीमा तक आसानी से पहुंचने के लिए तमाम बुनियादी व्यवस्थाएं की जा रही है. यही वजह है कि पिछले दो वर्षों के दौरान चीन और पाकिस्तान की सीमा से लगे सात राज्यों और केंद्र शासित प्रदेशों में सड़क और पुल जैसे महत्वपूर्ण सीमावर्ती बुनियादी ढांचे का निर्माण कार्य करीब 75 प्रतिशत तक बढ़ गया है.
