Chairman of Pakistan Ulema Council, Maulana Tahir Ashrafi, talks about a rapist’s punishment according to Shariya. He demands the public hanging of the rapist at the same place where he committed the heinous crime. Calling them ‘darinday’, he says that they shouldn’t be favored by human rights organizations. He gives a fatwa that DNA evidence is enough to prove rape and the rapist should be immediately punished within 48 hours. Lastly, he hopes for positive development in the case soon.
