Amina Usman interviewed Shehzad Saleem who was affected by polio in his childhood. He can only walk with one leg, but his disability has never made him hopeless. He completed his education and worked in a bank before joining the Sufi Group as a customer care officer. He is also an Information Secretary at an NGO called The Voice Society that helps educate handicapped children. Shehzad broke into tears while narrating a painful incident where he could not help his sick father due to his disability. Nonetheless, Shehzad is a self-sufficient man and drives a three-wheeled motorcycle to work. Shehzad is also very passionate about birds and has a whole room full of it. His wife says he is an exemplary man and she refuses to call him ‘disabled’. Watch the video to meet Shehzad Saleem!
