St. Mathew’s Church in Nathia Gali is 105 years old. It is well taken care of despite a very low Christian population in the area. A Muslim family has been taking care of the church for three generations. The name of the person responsible for the maintenance of the church is Waheed Murad. He revealed that the church is mostly visited by tourists and rarely ever a Christian comes to pray. Waheed says that every place of worship must be protected and treated with respect. St. Mathew’s Church is an example of interfaith harmony in Pakistan.
