armeet Singh is a journalist and Pakistan’s first Sikh news anchor, RJ and reporter. He even did modeling as well. He belongs to a small village called Kesar in District Shangla. Harmeet Singh went for an audition in ATV news channel and uploaded a few pictures of him in the studio afterwards. Those pictures got viral and the world appreciated Pakistan for hiring a Sikh news anchor. Harmeet Singh says it is his goal to improve the tarnished image of Pakistan regarding the mistreatment of its minorities. He revealed that wherever he goes in Pakistan people take selfies, treat him warmly and with utmost respect. Even the maulvis at Azadi March and politicians like Rana Sanauallah and Rehman Malik show him love and affection. He receives many offers from India to work there as an actor as well as news anchor but he says it is out of the question to accept those. Harmeet Singh asked the pilgrims at Kartarpur if they feel uncomfortable coming to Pakistan or feel unsafe. Pilgrims from all around the world said that they feel right at home and completely safe in Pakistan.
