A survivor recalls the bloodshed among legacy and terror during the sub-continent partition in 1947 when childhood friends became sworn enemies right after Lord Louis Mountbatten the last viceroy announced to give all powers to the Indian leaders and Pakistani leaders by mid-August 1947. It all started when Indians stepped back to support ruling Britain's for support in the war against Germany. Mahatama Gandi and some more patriotic leaders persuaded Britain govt to have a documented promise to give independence in case of victory against Germany. Soon after winning against Germany, the announcement was made as per documents but Britains torn the sub-continent in two pieces i.e India and Pakistan. This begins another Indo-Pak war.
