The Shiv Sena has picked Bollywood actor Urmila Matondkar for nomination to the Maharashtra Legislative Council through the Governor’s quota. Confirming the development, Sena’s chief spokesperson and MP Sanjay Raut told The Indian Express, “Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has spoken to Matondkar and she has agreed to be nominated by the Sena.”

महाराष्ट्र विधान परिषद की राज्यपाल मनोनीत 12 सीट में से एक पर शिवसेना अभिनेत्री उर्मिला मातोंडकर को अपना उम्मीदवार बनाने की तैयारी में है. मीडिया रिपोर्ट्स के मुताबिक सीएम उद्धव ठाकरे ने इस संबंध में खुद उर्मिला से फ़ोन पर बात की है. बता दें कि इससे पहले गुरुवार को महाराष्ट्र सरकार ने राज्यपाल कोटे से राज्य की विधान परिषद में मनोनयन के लिये 12 उम्मीदवारों के नामों को मंजूरी दी थी.
