Japanese civic groups are urging two Japanese companies to pay compensation to the Koreans they subjected to forced labor during World War Two.
Several dozen people held a series of rallies on Friday in Tokyo... in front of the headquarters of Nippon Steel and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries.
They reportedly said they are embarrassed that these companies represent Japan.
Friday was the second anniversary of a ruling by South Korea's Supreme Court ordering Nippon Steel to compensate four South Korean men,... a ruling that Tokyo has been retaliating for using trade restrictions.
