S. Korea promotes bid to host 2026 ITS World Congress in Gangneung city

South Korea's transport ministry hosted an online seminar today to promote Gangneung's bid to host the 2026 Intelligent Transport Systems World Congress.
"We dream of transforming Gangneung city into a smart tourist destination in Northeast Asia by 2025. We're planning to set up an ITS integration center and introduce Cooperative ITS technologies."
The ITS World Congress is the world's largest annual exhibition focused on smart mobility and the digitalization of transport.
Gangneung, which hosted the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics, is competing against Taipei as a candidate city for the 2026 event.
