Saftu opposes salary freeze

SAFTU says it will fight attempts to freeze public servants' salaries. Finance minister Tito Mboweni proposed a three-year public sector wage freeze during his medium-term budget speech on Wednesday. He said the wage bill has risen by 51% since 2008 and is no longer affordable. But SAFTU General Secretary ZwelinzimaVavi says workers cannot be the targets. Courtesy #DStv403
