Atleast eight people are dead and over two hundred affected due to a styrene gas leakage at LG Polymers Industry plant In Vishakhapatnam (Vizag) In Andhra Pradesh. Reports have quoted officials as saying that people in a one kilometre radius have had prolonged exposure to the gas leak which happened at 03:30am on May 07. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has asked officials of the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) and the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) to co-ordinate with the state government.
