Minister for School Education K.A. Sengottaiyan on Tuesday said that the health and safety of the students were the government’s top priority in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, and no decision has been made yet on the reopening of schools.“The safety of the students is what we are focussed on right now and the Chief Minister will decide when schools will reopen after discussions with the Education, Health and other departments,” he said.
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi took a dig at BJP who has been criticizing him over a cushion he used to sit on a tractor and said that PM Narendra Modi recently bought luxury planes for Rs 8,000 crore and has not just a cushion but a whole range of luxurious items at his disposal.
BJP leaders have criticized Rahul Gandhi for using a sofa to sit on a tractor during his tractor rally in Punjab to protest against the Centre’s farm laws. Union minister Hardeep Singh Puri had said, “The 'protest' launched by Congress is a political protest by those whose vested interests are hurt by the #FarmBills.
Inaugurating a five-day global virtual summit on artificial intelligence (AI), Responsible AI for Social Empowerment or RAISE 2020, Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighted how the use of AI will empower India and also warned against the pitfalls.In June, India along with Australia, the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, France, Germany, New Zealand, and others joined together to create the Global Partnership on Artificial Intelligence (GPAI) for responsible development and use of AI.
