The Union Cabinet met on Wednesday. In this meeting, the district panchayat elections in Jammu and Kashmir have been approved. Giving information in this regard, Union Minister Prakash Javadekar said that after the removal of Article 370, all laws have come into force in Jammu and Kashmir. The law for three-tier panchayat elections was made only last week. Today, the Union Cabinet has approved the proposal of the District Council to conduct direct elections.

केंद्रीय कैबिनेट की बैठक बुधवार को हुई. इस बैठक में जम्मू-कश्मीर में जिला पंचायत चुनाव कराने को मंजूरी दे दी है. इस बाबत जानकारी देते हुए केंद्रीय मंत्री प्रकाश जावड़ेकर ने कहा कि धारा 370 हटने के बाद जम्मू-कश्मीर में सभी कानून लागू हो गए हैं. पिछले हफ्ते ही त्रिस्तरीय पंचायत चुनाव का कानून हो गया. आज केंद्रीय कैबिनेट ने जिला परिषद के सीधे चुनाव कराने के प्रस्ताव पर मुहर लगा दी है.
