Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the strategically important Atal Tunnel on October 3, which foundation stone was laid on May 26, 2002. Atal tunnel is the world's longest highway tunnel, which length is 9.02 KM. This tunnel connects Manali with Lahaul Spiti throughout the year. The tunnel is located at an altitude of 10,000 Feet from the sea level. Tunnel bridges gap between LAC and mainland, now forces can access China border 365-day. Watch the video to know more.
