The 24km Railway Line From Mai Mahiu Industrial Park To Longonot Town In Naivasha Was Supposed To Be A Game-Changer For Residents Of The Semi-Arid Area Of Mai Mahiu. However, The Sh3.5b Railway Line That Is Currently Under Construction Has Turned Out To Be A Thorn-In-The-Flesh For Residents' Majority Of Whom Are Peasant Farmers. With Over 700 Families Affected By The Project, The Contractor Has Moved Into The Ground Taking Over Tens Of Acres Without Their Consent Or Compensation.
