The number of face-to-face bank transactions has fallen to an all-time low amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
According to the Bank of Korea, face-to-face transactions made up just seven-point-four percent of all bank transactions during the second quarter of this year.
That's a drop of point-seven percentage points from the previous quarter.
This comes as people are increasingly using online banking to avoid personal contact. Online banking made up 64-point-4 percent of transactions in the second quarter, and the proportion of non-contact transactions is expected to further increase.
