Members of the so-called upper castes in Hathras hold meeting in support of the men arrested for the alleged gangrape andmurder of a 20-year-old from Scheduled Castes, which has triggered countrywide outrage. Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, who were on Thursday stopped en route to Hathras to meet the 19-year-old woman’s family, managed to reach the village on Saturday and spent an hour at their residence. The body of a 15 year old girl who went missing on September 26 at a village in Uttar Pradesh's Kanpur Dehat district has been found reportedly mutilated in a field.
