Indian Railways unveils new Tejas locomotives

Indian Railways' electric locomotive manufacturing unit Chittaranjan Locomotive Works (CLW) has turned out first batch of Tejas Express locomotives amid the Covid-19 pandemic. These are made for'push-pull' operations. CLW is one of the largest electric locomotive manufacturers in the world. The 'push-pull' technology will help the passenger electric locomotives to reduce air drags at higher speed. The Tejas locomotive is capable to run at 160 kmph.
