In fact, a “South Park” pandemic special is set to air tonight on Comedy Central, among other networks. Comedy Central announced the hour-long special — which is actually titled “The Pandemic Special'' — earlier this month. In the special episode, Randy, Stan’s dad, “comes to terms with his role in the COVID-19 outbreak.”The “South Park” crew also returns to school after quarantine, but Cartman is none too happy about going back to class, where police officers have taken the place of teachers. For the first time, ''South Park'' will be simulcast across Comedy Central, MTV and MTV2. Comedy Central“You really want to go back to that slavery?” he asks his friends.“South Park” creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone recently provided a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the special, which was produced remotely. Caution: Video contains profanity. The “South Park” pandemic special will premiere 8 p.m. ET/PT Wednesday, Sept. 30 on Comedy Central, and, for the first time, on both MTV and MTV 2. There will be encore airings at 9 and 10 p.m. ET. A livestream of the special will also be available at southpark.cc.com for cable subscribers. You can find it on the Comedy Central app after the West Coast airing. HBO Max will have the pandemic special 24 hours after the premiere.
