New wave of Chinese bodyguards add digital defence and cybersecurity to their training

A school for bodyguards in China’s northern municipality of Tianjin is now training students in cybersecurity along with the usual skills in combat, weapons use and high-speed driving. The school’s founder said digital defences against hackers is now an essential skill for bodyguards in China, where security personnel are increasingly expected to take a role safeguarding information as well as the personal safety of the entrepreneurs and VIPs they protect.
